{"id":130,"date":"2023-11-09T05:19:33","date_gmt":"2023-11-09T05:19:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/awamimission.com\/en\/?p=130"},"modified":"2023-11-09T05:20:35","modified_gmt":"2023-11-09T05:20:35","slug":"zac-efron-says-he-would-be-honoured-to-play-matthew-perry-in-his-biopic","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/awamimission.com\/en\/zac-efron-says-he-would-be-honoured-to-play-matthew-perry-in-his-biopic\/","title":{"rendered":"Zac Efron says he would be \u2018honoured\u2019 to play Matthew Perry in his biopic"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Zac Efron had a heartfelt reaction to the news of Matthew Perry was considering the&nbsp;<em>High School Musical<\/em>&nbsp;alum for his biopic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During the red carpet for the world premiere of his new film,&nbsp;<em>The Iron Claw,<\/em>&nbsp;Efron, 36, was \u201cdevastated\u201d by the loss of the Friends actor, who passed away last month at age 54.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Entertainment reporter Athenna Crosby, who was photographed dining with Perry at the Hotel Bel-Air one day before his death, told&nbsp;<em>People Magazine<\/em>&nbsp;that Perry was planning to make a movie about his life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She shared that the late actor \u201cwanted Zac Efron, who&#8217;s played him already to play him again because he said he did such a good job.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In response,&nbsp;<em>The Greatest Showman&nbsp;<\/em>said, \u201cI\u2019m honoured to hear he was thinking of me to play him. We\u2019ll see. I\u2019d be honoured to do it.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Previously, Efron played the younger version of Perry\u2019s character, Mike O\u2019Donnell, in the 2009 movie,&nbsp;<em>17 Again.<\/em>&nbsp;In the movie, O\u2019Donnell, who is a middle-aged man who recently filed for divorce, is struck by magic turning into his 17-year-old self.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Recalling his fondest memories with the late actor, he shared, \u201cHe was a mentor to me, and we made a really cool film together.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He continued, \u201cI looked up to him, I learned comedic timing from that guy.
