Lahore: Jamaat-e-Islami Lahore has announced that it will challenge the notification of the uncontested victory of the government-backed candidate in PP-167 at the Punjab Election Commission office on January 12, 2026, citing undemocratic and unconstitutional practices.
On this occasion, Ziauddin Ansari, Advocate and Ameer of Jamaat-e-Islami Lahore, will hold a media talk in front of the Punjab Election Commission, Office No. 10, Court Street, Islam Pura, Lahore, on Monday, January 12, 2026, at 11:00 AM, to announce the party’s future course of action.
A large number of Jamaat-e-Islami workers and officials are expected to attend the event.
