An All Parties Conference will be held on February 1, while speech competitions on Kashmir and Palestine will also be organized in schools. The Kashmir & Palestine Solidarity March on February 5 at Mall Road Lahore will be led by Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan, Hafiz Naeem ur Rehman.

Lahore: Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami Lahore, Ziauddin Ansari Advocate, while addressing a press conference at Syed Maududi Islamic Centre in connection with Kashmir Solidarity Day, February 5, said that Kashmir Solidarity Day is not merely a symbolic occasion but a day to practically reaffirm support for the right of self-determination of the oppressed Kashmiri people. He announced that a grand Kashmir & Palestine Solidarity March will be held on Mall Road Lahore on February 5, which will be led and addressed by Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Hafiz Naeem ur Rehman.He further stated that the Kashmir Solidarity March will commence at 10:30 am from State Bank Chowk, Mall Road Lahore, and will be attended by thousands of men, women and children. He emphasized that political, moral and diplomatic support for the people of Kashmir and Palestine is the national duty of every Pakistani. He urged the Government of Pakistan to raise an effective voice at international forums and align the Kashmir policy with practical measures rather than mere statements.The Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami Lahore also announced that Jamaat-e-Islami will organize an All Parties Conference in Lahore on February 1, in which leaders of all political and religious parties will demonstrate unity and adopt a joint stance on the issues of Kashmir and Palestine.Expressing serious concerns over the government’s policy regarding Basant, Ziauddin Ansari Advocate said that Jamaat-e-Islami is not opposed to cultural activities; however, allowing Basant celebrations in residential areas is tantamount to playing with human lives. He stated that precious lives are being lost due to the use of metallic kite strings, aerial firing and other illegal activities, while government measures have proved ineffective.Referring to the tragic incident at Bhati Chowk, where a mother and daughter lost their lives after falling into an open sewer, he rejected attempts to term it a mere accident, stating that it was a clear case of administrative failure and criminal negligence. He demanded immediate financial assistance for the affected family and urgent measures to secure all open sewerage lines across the city.
