Lahore: On the appeal of Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Ameer Hafiz Naeem ur Rehman, protest demonstrations were held across Lahore on Friday against what party leaders described as U.S. and Israeli aggression against Iran. The demonstrations were organized by Jamaat-e-Islami Lahore and took place at various important locations and union council levels across the city after Friday prayers.Participants raised slogans against the United States and Israel and expressed solidarity with Iran. The protesters urged the international community to take immediate steps to stop aggression and ensure peace and stability in the Middle East. A large number of Jamaat-e-Islami workers, citizens, and people from different walks of life participated in the demonstrations.Addressing a major protest gathering at Mansoorah, Jamaat-e-Islami Lahore Ameer Ziauddin Ansari Advocate stated that the United States and Israel were acting as major sources of instability in the world. He said that any aggressive actions against Iran could endanger peace in the region and further escalate tensions in the Middle East.He emphasized that the Muslim Ummah must unite in this critical situation and raise a collective voice against injustice and aggression. Party leaders reiterated that Jamaat-e-Islami has always stood with oppressed nations and will continue its struggle for justice and human rights.They also called on the Government of Pakistan and international institutions to play an effective role in reducing tensions in the region and promoting peace.Special prayers were offered at the end of the demonstrations for an end to hostilities and for unity among Muslim countries.Among those who attended the protest at Mansoorah were Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Deputy Ameer Dr. Osama Razi, Jamaat-e-Islami Lahore Deputy Ameer Malik Shahid Aslam, Ameer West Lahore Syed Ali Irtaza Hasni, Abdul Aziz Abid, Dr. Asif, along with a large number of party workers and citizens.
