Supporting and caring for orphans is a great Sunnah of the Holy Prophet (PBUH).— Zia-ud-Din Ansari Advocate

An Eid Shopping Festival for resilient children was organized in Green Town under the auspices of Jamaat-e-Islami PP-163, aimed at sharing the joy of Eid with orphaned and deserving children. Zia-ud-Din Ansari attended the event as the chief guest, while Waqar Ahmed Butt and Mirza Abdul Rasheed along with other party leaders also addressed the gathering.During the festival, Eidi of PKR 2,500 each was distributed among 850 resilient children to enable them to participate in Eid preparations and shopping with happiness and dignity. On this occasion, Muhammad Sajid Khan Ameer PP-163, Sheikh Basharat Deputy Ameer PP-163 and Zarrar Jaleel Secretary PP-163 were also present.Addressing the ceremony, Zia-ud-Din Ansari Advocate congratulated the Green Town leadership of Jamaat-e-Islami for organizing the event and said that placing a caring hand on the heads of orphaned children is a noble religious and social service. He said that supporting and caring for orphans is a great Sunnah of the Holy Prophet PBUH and one of the best means of attaining Paradise.He further stated that the person who raises an orphan will be as close to the Prophet PBUH in Paradise as two fingers placed together. He added that caring for orphaned children is a practical example of earning the love of Allah, promoting social welfare, and showing compassion towards the vulnerable segments of society. He urged philanthropists and social organizations to play their role in providing education, upbringing, and basic necessities for orphaned children so that a dignified, compassionate, and strong society can be built.
