

Lahore: The leadership of Jamaat-e-Islami Lahore held a meeting at the Syed Maududi Islamic Center, chaired by Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami Lahore Ziauddin Ansari Advocate. The meeting was attended by deputy Ameers, secretaries, deputy secretaries, and heads of various departments.During the meeting, serious concern and condemnation were expressed over the soaring inflation ahead of Eid-ul-Fitr, which has adversely affected the lives of ordinary citizens. The leadership strongly condemned the extortion and mistreatment of shopkeepers by para forces in Ramadan bazaars. The meeting also expressed deep concern over rising transport fares, overpricing, and the growing stray dog menace in neighborhoods and streets, demanding immediate action from the Punjab government and relevant authorities. Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami Lahore, Ziauddin Ansari, Advocate stated, Inflation has dampened the joy of the poor and middle class, and citizens are facing severe difficulties in meeting their basic needs. The claims of the Chief Minister of Punjab to provide relief during Ramadan and Eid have remained limited to statements, failing to meet public expectations.
