Lahore: The life of the late Mian Maqsood Ahmad serves as a beacon of guidance for all. He was a sincere mentor, a fearless preacher of truth, and an enduring symbol of steadfastness throughout every challenging phase of the Islamic movement. His passing has created a void that will be felt for generations.These views were expressed by speakers at a grand condolence reference organized by Jamaat-e-Islami Lahore to pay tribute to the remarkable religious, political, and social services of the former Ameer of Jamaat-e-Islami Punjab, the late Mian Maqsood Ahmad (May Allah have mercy on him). The dignified gathering, held at Alhamra Hall, was presided over by Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami Lahore, Advocate Ziauddin Ansari.The event was attended by a large number of eminent religious scholars, spiritual leaders, political figures, social activists, representatives of welfare organizations, party workers, and women from across the country.Among those present were Dr. Osama Razi, Dr. Fareed Ahmad Paracha, Sheikh-ul-Hadith Maulana Abdul Malik, Maulana Hafiz Muhammad Idrees, Dr. Tariq Saleem, Waqas Anjum Jafri, Professor Irfan Chaudhry, Mian Jaleel Ahmad Sharqpuri, Qari Yaqoob Sheikh, Maulana Amjad Khan, Allama Zubair Ahmad Zaheer, Allama Abdul Ghafoor Rashid, Mufti Shahid Ubaid, Mufti Shabbir-ul-Hajj, Dr. Khalid Maqbool, Pir Abdullah Shah, Pir Ghulam Rasool Owaisi, Pir Syed Ali Raza Chan Pir, Dr. Pir Tariq Sharifzada, Pir Akhtar Rasool Qadri, Pir Dr. Tauseef-un-Nabi Mujaddidi, Pir Asim Mustafa Suhrawardi, Pir Dr. Tauseeq-un-Nabi, Nasrullah Goraya, Azhar Bilal, Khalid Ahmad Butt, Aamir Nisar Khan, Qari Waqar Ahmad Chitrali, Qasim Afzal Siddiqui, Anwar Gondal, Hafiz Naseem Chishti, Masood Khokhar, Chaudhry Shaukat, Shah Ubaid, Abdul Qayyum Rashid, Chaudhry Sagheer Abbas Warraich, Dr. Khalid Mahmood, Salman Siddique, as well as the late Mian Maqsood Ahmad’s sons, Hafiz Yasir Miraj and Sohaib Sharif, along with many other distinguished personalities.Paying rich tribute to the late leader, the speakers said that Mian Maqsood Ahmad was not merely an organizational leader but an institution in himself. Thousands of young people learned sincerity, devotion, perseverance, and dedication to the cause of Islam under his guidance. From his youth until his final breath, he devoted his entire life to establishing the Islamic way of life, promoting the message of Islam, and nurturing future generations.The speakers observed that Mian Maqsood Ahmad remained a loyal and steadfast worker of the Islamic movement who faced every trial and challenge with patience, wisdom, determination, and an unwavering smile. Whenever the movement encountered difficult times, he was always found standing in the front ranks, leading by example with sincerity, courage, and vision.They further stated that he dedicated his life to the supremacy of Islam, serving the oppressed and underprivileged, promoting social welfare, and strengthening Islamic values in society. His selfless and exemplary services have become a shining chapter in history and will continue to inspire future generations with the spirit of faith, service, and commitment to the cause of Islam.The ceremony concluded with a heartfelt collective prayer for the elevation of the late Mian Maqsood Ahmad’s ranks in the Hereafter, the acceptance of his lifelong services, and for Allah Almighty to grant patience, strength, and steadfastness to his family, colleagues, and members of the Islamic movement.
