Lahore, (Umar Hayat CH) A seminar in connection with Kashmir Solidarity Day was organized at the Lahore Bar Association Journal House under the auspices of the Lahore Bar Association and Kashmir Center Lahore Jammu & Kashmir Liberation Cell. Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami Lahore, Ziauddin Ansari Advocate, addressed the seminar as the chief guest. In his address, Ziauddin Ansari Advocate highlighted the grave and alarming situation in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, strongly criticizing the silence of the international community over ongoing human rights violations.He strongly condemned the Prime Minister’s participation in the Palestine Peace Board, stating that any form of assistance or cooperation with Israel would amount to betrayal not only of Pakistan but of the entire Muslim Ummah. He emphasized that the Pakistani nation would never accept any step taken against the ideology of Pakistan.The Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami Lahore further stated that the atrocities being committed against the people of Kashmir and Palestine expose the double standards of global powers, and stressed that the time has come for the Muslim Ummah to adopt a joint and practical strategy to confront these injustices.He paid tribute to the role of the legal fraternity, stating that lawyers have always remained at the forefront of the struggle for truth and justice.The seminar was presided over by Irfan Hayat Bajwa, President Lahore Bar Association, who, in his presidential address, expressed complete solidarity with the Kashmiri people and reaffirmed that the legal community will continue to fully support the Kashmiri people’s legitimate struggle for the right to self-determination.
A large number of lawyers, representatives of civil society, and people from various walks of life attended the seminar.
