Lahore (UMAR HAYAT CH) Zia-ud-Din Ansari, Advocate and Amir of Jamaat-e-Islami Lahore, participated in the protest of Punjab government employees at the Civil Secretariat and stated that Jamaat-e-Islami fully supports the legitimate demands of the employees. He urged the Punjab government to immediately recognize the employees’ rightful demands and resolve their issues. Government employees have been staging a sit-in for six consecutive days to voice their concerns and assert their rights. Ansari warned that if the government fails to meet their demands, Jamaat-e-Islami will organize a larger collective protest. On this occasion, Chief Coordinator of AGIGA Pakistan Rehman Bajwa, Professor Nadeem Ashrafi, Liaqat Baig, Shafqat Rasool, Qazi Saeed, Afzal Bhinder, Rana Ahmed Hassan, Malik Zulqarnain, Madam Rukhsana Anwar, and other organizational office-bearers were present, while hundreds of employees raised slogans against government policies.
