Lahore: A protest demonstration was organized on Litton Road, Lahore, by Jamaat-e-Islami Lahore against the recent attack on Iran by the United States and Israel. The protest was led by Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami Lahore, Ziauddin Ansari Advocate. A large number of party workers and citizens participated, expressing solidarity with Iran and chanting slogans against what they termed American aggression.Addressing the gathering, Ziauddin Ansari stated that the martyrdom of Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei, is a profound loss for the Muslim world. He expressed deep sorrow over the reported deaths of senior Iranian officials, including security advisor Ali Shamkhani, IRGC Commander Mohammad Pakpour, Defense Minister Amir Nasirzadeh, and hundreds of other individuals.He described the attack on Iran as blatant aggression and a grave violation of international law. He urged the government of Pakistan to adopt a clear and unequivocal stance in light of the rapidly evolving regional situation, emphasizing that any attempt at regime change in Iran would have serious consequences for regional stability and Pakistan’s national security. Ziauddin Ansari further alleged that the United States, Israel, and India are engaged in policies that destabilize the Muslim world by fostering internal conflicts and imposing wars upon Muslim nations.He also called upon those rulers who had previously recommended former U.S. President Donald Trump for the Nobel Prize to offer an explanation and seek an apology from the nation.Concluding his address, he stated that the people of Pakistan stand in solidarity with Iran and that the nation would support the government should it adopt a courageous and principled position on the matter.
