Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami Lahore Ziauddin Ansari Advocate expresses deep concern over the elimination of government jobs

Lahore: The Ameer of Jamaat-e-Islami Lahore, Zia-ud-Din Ansari Advocate, has expressed deep concern over the abolition of government posts by the Punjab government, stating that the elimination of 38,492 positions is tantamount to the economic killing of the educated segment of society. He said that vacant posts across multiple departments, including agriculture, irrigation, forestry, housing, urban and public health engineering, education, and special education, have been abolished, which is a highly alarming step. He particularly highlighted that 30,391 posts have been eliminated in the education department alone, which will not only deprive thousands of youth of employment opportunities but will also severely affect the education system. He further stated that the shortage of teachers is already a major issue, and the removal of more posts will further deteriorate educational standards. Zia-ud-Din Ansari criticized the government, saying that incompetent rulers have established a monarch-like system in the province where the poor can no longer sustain their livelihoods. He added that by eliminating employment opportunities, the youth are being pushed into despair and unemployment. He demanded that the government immediately restore the abolished posts and initiate recruitment in education and other key sectors to provide job opportunities to young people and ensure better governance in the province.
