Lahore(Umar Hayat CH) Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan held an important and special nationwide online meeting of its Local Government and Local Bodies Election Committee, chaired by Ziauddin Ansari Advocate , Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami Lahore and Chairman of the Committee.The meeting was attended by senior party leaders and members of the political committee from across the country, including Khalid Ahmad Butt President Political Committee Lahore; Nasrullah Randhawa from Islamabad Saifuddin from Karachi Maulana Hidayat-ur-Rehman from Balochistan; and Inayatullah Khan from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.Participants held detailed deliberations on the upcoming local government elections across Pakistan and discussed the party’s future strategy regarding the electoral process. It was proposed that, instead of conducting local government elections separately in different provinces, the elections should be held simultaneously across the country to ensure greater transparency, uniformity, and effectiveness.Addressing the meeting, Ziauddin Ansari Advocate, Chairman of the Local Government and Local Bodies Election Committee of Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan, stated that the party would formulate comprehensive legislative proposals for establishing an effective and empowered local government system in Pakistan. These recommendations will be presented before the Central Majlis-e-Shura with the objective of launching a nationwide campaign for a uniform local government system throughout the country.He further emphasized that local government elections should be conducted alongside the general elections so that federal and provincial governments cannot influence or interfere with the elections of these empowered local institutions.Mr. Ansari also urged all provincial representatives to further strengthen grassroots public outreach campaigns and organizational activities to ensure that Jamaat-e-Islami emerges as a strong and effective force in the upcoming local government elections.
