Jamaat-e-Islami continues its peaceful democratic struggle against petroleum levy, inflation and anti-people policies
Lahore: Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami Lahore, Ziauddin Ansari Advocate, has intensified efforts to make the September 3 strike a success. He visited the Auto Spare Parts Market and held door-to-door meetings with traders, shopkeepers and market representatives.
Speaking with members of the trader community, Ziauddin Ansari Advocate appealed to them to actively participate in the peaceful strike on September 3 and keep their businesses closed in support of the struggle for their rights and the rights of the people.
He said that the government’s anti-people economic policies and rising inflation have severely affected not only ordinary citizens but also the business community. The continuous increase in the cost of doing business and the growing burden of taxes have made it increasingly difficult for traders to sustain their businesses.
The Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami Lahore said that Jamaat-e-Islami is continuing its peaceful and democratic struggle for the abolition of the petroleum levy, reduction in inflation, affordable bread and relief for the people.
He said that the rulers must provide immediate and meaningful relief to the people. The ongoing protest movement of Jamaat-e-Islami represents the problems, hardships and demands of Pakistan’s 250 million citizens. Ziauddin Ansari Advocate said that the trader community plays a vital role in the country’s economy, and unity among traders is the need of the hour. He appealed to the business community to make the September 3 strike successful in a peaceful and organized manner and play its full role in the democratic struggle for public rights.
