Lahore: Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami Lahore, Zia-ud-Din Ansari Advocate, has stated that the overwhelming public response to the membership campaign is a clear vote of no confidence against the corrupt system. He said that Jamaat-e-Islami Lahore will organize membership camps across the city and establish public committees to address issues at the grassroots level. He expressed these views while addressing the “Badlo Nizam” (Change the System) membership ceremony held in Mansoorah. He said that real and sustainable change in the country is no longer possible without transforming the existing system, as public problems cannot be resolved under the current setup.Criticizing government policies, he said that rulers who came into power through Form-47 are burdening the public with inflation. Approximately Rs. 150 per liter is being charged in petroleum levy and taxes, while on the other hand, the ruling elite continues to indulge in luxuries. He alleged that an aircraft worth Rs. 11 billion has been purchased for the Chief Minister of Punjab, a vehicle worth Rs. 90 million for the Chairman Senate, while the bureaucracy enjoys perks such as free fuel and free electricity. He further stated that to change this outdated system, the entire nation—especially the youth—must support Jamaat-e-Islami. Every worker must take the party’s message to every home and individual at the grassroots level and make the membership campaign successful.Zia-ud-Din Ansari added that Jamaat-e-Islami is striving for a just, transparent, and people-friendly system, and the growing public participation is clear evidence that people want to get rid of the current system.
