Lahore(Umar Hayat CH) An important meeting was held at Jilani Park under the chairmanship of Additional Managing Director PHA Lahore, Zona Waheed Butt. All Horticulture Directors attended the meeting. A detailed briefing was given on the plant free home delivery campaign being carried out across the provincial capital in line with the vision of Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif and under the supervision of MD PHA Raja Mansoor Ahmed.Additional Managing Director Zona Waheed Butt directed that the plantation campaign should be further accelerated. He emphasized that maximum trees should be planted across parks, green belts, and vacant spaces in the city. He also stressed the encouragement and facilitation of the private sector’s participation in plantation activities.He further instructed to improve the standard of landscaping in parks and green belts. The Engineering Directorate was directed to ensure that all water motors remain fully functional at all times. Considering the severity of the weather, horticulture zones were instructed to focus on proper watering of trees and plants as well as tree washing.During the meeting, it was also directed that fruit-bearing trees should be geo-tagged to ensure better monitoring, transparency, and effectiveness of the plantation drive.
